Clinical Interviews

2-4 Hours

Dr. Thir meets face-to-face with you and any/friends/partners as appropriate. Some of our conversation may feel informal, and some will be semi structured asking about specific symptoms and experiences. For children, a separate interview with the parent(s) will be scheduled with can be in person or virtual

In-Person Testing

2-3 Hours

This portion of the assessment includes interactive tests to assess emotional/behavioral functioning, learning, cognitive functioning (IQ), and/or academic skills (as needed).

Standardized Questionnaires

You and family members (parents, if applicable) are provided standardized questionnaires in-person and/or via email to complete based on your assessment referral questions. This adds some quantitative numbers data to the information given in interviews. It also helps compare what you are experiencing to others your age and gender, as well as gather different perspectives of your abilities and functioning.

Report and Feedback Session (offered)

A full narrative report with comprehensive details about each assessment result in the area of need is sent to you. Dr. Thir offers to meet with you to clearly explain the takeaways after the report is sent (about 60 minutes) with an additional fee.

What to Expect When You Get a

Psychological Assessment With Dr. Thir

Fees are paid directly by check or credit card via the SimplePractice client portal.

Credit cards are securely stored and processed through SimplePractice.

Assessment with full report: $3,500*

*50% of the cost is due the date of the scheduled evaluation ($1,750)

*Includes up to 14 hours of interviews, testing with client, and report writing.

Any additional time needed is billed at $250/hr.

Insurance

Dr. Thir does not bill insurance.

An invoice with the CPT codes utilized can be provided at your request.
