Melanie Ledig, LCSW-C

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

EDUCATION

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience supporting teens, adults, and families. My career began in Jacksonville, Florida, working with at-risk adolescent girls, and evolved into a long-standing private practice where I support clients dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationships, grief and loss, autism and social skills, social anxiety, parenting, body image, emotional regulation, and trauma.

As a retired military spouse of nearly 30 years and a parent of two sons who graduated from St. Mary’s County Public Schools, I bring both personal and professional insight into the challenges families face. For the past three years, I have served as a school social worker with SMCPS, supporting elementary students and collaborating closely with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators to help students succeed.

I am passionate about building meaningful connections with my clients and creating a space where they feel safe, supported, and truly understood.  In my free time, I enjoy taking walks, exercising, reading, and spending time with my friends and family.

If you come to one of my virtual sessions via Telehealth, you can meet Reese, my adorable golden retriever!
